Ministry Report Update:

IRCS was started six years ago on the island of Mota-Lava, Vanuatu. They presently have K-8th grade. The high school building is in the process of being built out of cement block, instead of coconut leaves and bamboo. This building will also serve as a refuge for the people from devastating and deadly rain storms. This school has given the people of Mota-Lava the opportunity to give their children a Christian education and remain on their home island.

Island Rock Christian School is located in the country of Vanuatu. It is on the small Island of Motalava located in the Torba Province. There is little commerce in this province. Most are surviving by fishing and living off of the food that they are growing in their gardens. They can earn small amounts of money by cutting copra (coconuts). It typically takes about three day's labor to earn $10. U.S.

They do have government run schools (a French and an English) but all students are required to pay tuition. Most parents do not have the money to send their children to school. Island Rock Christian School was started to give these children a sound Biblically based education in hopes of raising up a new generation of committed Christian leaders for the country of Vanuatu.

The tuition can be paid by parents that don't have enough money by working one day a week at the school. This is physical labor where they can help mix cement to make blocks for the walls of the classrooms.

The Lord has recently blessed us with a new principal Alban Maxwell. He served for 25 years in the public system. The last nine years in that system he was a principal. Please keep him in prayer as he seeks to bring our school to the next level spiritually, academically and seeks to get more volunteers to complete the physical building.

One of the visions that the Lord gave me was to have many churches help in the support of this school.

Presently, Table Rock Fellowship (Medford, Oregon), Church on the Rock (Eagle Point, Oregon), Eagle Point Nazarene and Calvary Chapel (Nampa, Idaho) support Island Rock Christian School financially. About 95% of the support is used for teacher's salaries.

Usually near the end of the year, we receive tax deductible gifts so that we can meet the needs of building supplies. We are in desperate need of some financial support to finish the classrooms.

We are building a two story building that will house 4 classrooms, a library and an office. This is an extremely large building that will not only be used as classroom's and a community meeting place, but will also serve as a shelter for two villages during hurricane season. It will also act as a tsunami shelter as this area of the world is prone to many earthquakes.

If you know of people whom the Lord might use to financially support this project have them contact
